Yunnan Copper Technology today tendered for 30 mt in metal content of selenium ingots [SMM Selenium].

SMM October 13: According to official information from Yunnan Copper Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd., the company began selling 30 mt in metal content of selenium ingots today. Metal element grade: Se ≥ 99% (subject to our factory assay results; our company only guarantees the minimum content of the main element selenium). Product packaging: drums on pallets, 48 drums per pallet, selenium weight approximately 1.68 mt per pallet (final weight subject to actual packing list).

Bidding participants must log in via the Sunshine Procurement Platform of China Copper Co., Ltd. (https://cg.chncopper.com/epsw/portal/index) by 11:00 on October 14, 2025, click on "Sunshine Purchase and Sales" to complete the relevant quotation; late submissions will not be accepted. The winning bidder must pay the full contract amount by October 24, 2025, with delivery after October 25. The current information indicates that this tender has no reserve price. Given the recent stability in the selenium market, this tender can test market activity, and SMM will follow up with reports.

SMM, February 6 - According to SMM’s investigation of market information, a large smelter in northern China began public bidding for a certain quantity of indium ingots and bismuth ingots starting yesterday. Market sources indicate that the starting price for these indium ingots exceeds 4,000 yuan per kilogram, while the starting price for bismuth ingots is above 150,000 yuan per ton. The bidding results are expected to be announced before the Spring Festival. Market participants note that, given the clear trend of sluggish trading activity ahead of the Spring Festival, the timing of this bidding is not ideal. However, the relatively favorable starting prices have generated considerable market anticipation for the outcome of the bidding.
